The Reds claimed their first win of the Super Rugby campaign when they beat the Brumbies 18-10 Friday's Australian derby in Brisbane.

The Melbourne Rebels claimed a record-breaking 45-19 victory over the Queensland Reds in their Super Rugby opener at AAMI Park on Friday.

SANZAAR has announced the referee appointments for Week 2 of the 2018 Super Rugby season.

Super Rugby and The Rugby Championship will this season adopt the Law Amendments that were announced by World Rugby in July 2017 prior to the start of the 2017/2018 northern hemisphere season. The amendments relate to the scrum (Law 20), tackle (Law 15) and ruck (Law 16).

SANZAAR has announced the referee team that will officiate the 2018 Super Rugby season. With the Super Rugby tournament format reducing to 120 regular season matches this season the referee team has been reduced from 19 to 17 referees. 

The 2018 15-team Super Rugby tournament kicks-off in four weeks time on Saturday 17 February in South Africa when the Stormers host the Jaguares in Cape Town. 

 

The Queensland Reds have confirmed their squad and coaching staff for the 2018 Vodafone Super Rugby season.

 

Wallaby and Reds hooker Stephen Moore has confirmed he will retire from all forms of the game, following the Wallabies' final Test of the 2017 Spring Tour against Scotland.

Former World Cup-winning All Black Brad Thorn has been appointed the Reds new head coach. The Queensland Rugby Union has announced it has agreed to part ways with Reds head coach Nick Stiles, effectively immediately. 
 

SANZAAR has announced the match schedule for the restructured  2018 Super Rugby tournament that comprises a 15-team three-conference format.

The Highlanders made a statement of intent ahead of the quarter-finals when they claimed a convincing 40-17 win over the Reds in Dunedin on Friday.

The Round 16 (South Africa and Australia only) Super Rugby team of the week has representatives from seven of the 10 teams in the five-match round. Player of the Week is Stormers fullback Dillyn Leyds who scored two tries, carried 20 times, beat 3 defenders and ran for 240 metres.

Round 16 of Super Rugby sees only Australian and South African teams in action as New Zealand focus their attention on the deciding match between the All Blacks and touring British and Irish Lions. The round kicks off Friday night with two back-to-back Australia derbies. 

Reds fly-half Quade Cooper kicked an 80th minute penalty to break Brumbies hearts and steal a 16-15 win in a foggy Brisbane.

Stephen Perofeta's late try was enough for the Blues to come out on top of a see-sawing encounter with the Reds, winning 34-29 in Apia.

The Round 14 Super Rugby team of the week has representatives from ten of the 18 teams after the nine-match round and includes three Highlanders and three Cheetahs. Player of the week is Sharks fullback David Havili who scored a try, carried 18 times, beat 10 defenders and ran for 191 metres.

The Force moved up to third position in the Australian Conference after they beat the Reds 40-26 at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on Friday.

SANZAAR has announced the referee appointments for Round 14 of the 2017 Super Rugby season.

The Round 12 team of the week has representatives from eight of the teams and includes four Reds and three Blues players. Player of the week is Reds captain and Wallaby Centre Samu Kerevi who scored two tries, beat 9 defenders and ran for 150 metres.

The Reds claimed their third victory of the season on Saturday as they beat the Rebels 29-24 in an entertaining derby in Melbourne.
