The inaugural Super Rugby Legends XV has its first official member, with Crusaders great Wyatt Crockett topping the loosehead prop vote to earn his place in the historic side.
Wyatt Crockett, Super Rugby’s most capped player, finished the fan vote with 23%, edging out a world-class field and underlining his legacy across the competition’s first three decades.
James Slipper, who came second in the vote, is on track to break Crockett’s all-time appearance record this season, making this Legends XV vote an exciting clash between past and present Super Rugby icons.
Top three loosehead props
The full top three in the vote were:
- Wyatt Crockett – 23%
- James Slipper – 21%
- Tony Woodcock – 19%
With the first position locked in, attention now turns to the next iconic role.
At 5:00pm AEDT | 7:00pm NZT tonight, voting opens to decide the hooker in the Super Rugby Legends XV. Fans can choose from a star-studded list of nominees, representing every corner of the competition’s history:
