The third round of the new Nations Championship will see Los Pumas host England at the Madre de Ciudades in Santiago del Estero. 

Coach Felipe Contepomi's team faces the English following the vibrant match played last November at Twickenham, where the Los Pumas team was on the verge of winning but fell short 23-27.

In 31 games played between the two teams, Los Pumas have 5 wins, 2 draws and 24 defeats. The last triumph in Argentina was in 2009 in Salta, when Los Pumas won 24-22.

Santiago del Estero will host Los Pumas for the third time, who remain undefeated in the province. They first beat Scotland in 2022 34-31, and then South Africa 29-28 in 2024.

The Pumas come into this match after losing to Scotland in Córdoba by 47-38 and beating Wales in San Juan by 35-21. England, on the other hand, fell to South Africa 45-21 and beat Fiji 73-8.

Regarding the team that beat Wales in Round 2 in San Juan, Los Pumas have two changes to the starting XV: Mayco Vivas will come in for Boris Wenger at prop, while Matías Moroni will be in the centres replacing Lucio Cinti.

On the replacements bench is Efraín Elías, a recent title winner with Toulouse in France, who will be able to play his first game of the season with the national team.
