The rematch between the Pumas and Springboks will not be in Argentina but in London. It will be played Saturday, October 4 at Allianz Stadium [Twickenham].
For the Pumas the heavy 67-30 defeat against the Springboks in Durban is in the past, and now Felipe Contepomi's team will be looking to change the result and close the The Rugby Championship on a positive note.
In London, Julián Montoya [pictured centre] will reach 52 tests as captain of Los Pumas, making him the player with the most games as a leader in the history of the national team. He is followed by Agustín Creevy with 51, Lisandro Arbizu with 48, Hugo Porta with 38 and Agustín Pichot with 31. His first game as captain, for the player who emerged from Newman, was in 2021 against Romania (24-17 win).
For the rematch at Twickenham, Felipe Contepomi made 7 changes from last week's starting XV:
