In their second appearance of the November international test series, Los Pumas beat Scotland 33-24 at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, after a historic comeback.

The Argentine national team came into the match after beating Wales 52-28 away at the famous Principality Stadium in Cardiff. For their part, the Scots came into the match against Argentina after losing at home to the All Blacks 25-17. The match against Scotland also marked the 50 cap mark for Juan Cruz Mallía and Juan Martín González.

The first 40 minutes were intense, with both teams determined not to give up space and to impose themselves defensively. However, 4 minutes in, referee Andrew Brace left Los Pumas with one less by showing a yellow card to Mallía. Scotland took advantage of the numerical advantage to press close to the Argentine line but the Pumas defense resisted and managed to clear the danger. However, the home side continued to attack and, after a quick combination between Rory Hutchinson and Jack Dempsey, the latter scored the first try of the match.

With the return of fullback Mallia, Los Pumas rebalanced the proceedings and took the game to the opponent's half of the field. At 22 minutes, Argentina had a penalty from mid-range, but Mallia's kick went just wide.

Despite the improvement from the Pumas, Scotland stretched the lead further with a good team effort that culminated in a try by Ewan Ashman. 10 minutes from the end of the first half stage, the Pumas had another opportunity to score with a penalty from 40 meters, but the shot fell short. Thus, the first half closed 14-0 in favour of Scotland.

After the break, Los Pumas came out determined to improve defensive pressure and precision in the opponents half. However, it was the home team who struck first and, after three minutes, they broke the Argentine defense again with another try by hooker Ashman.

Following this, coach Felipe Contepomi used the bench to refresh the forward pack, and the team began to show a notable improvement, settling more frequently in the opponent's half. In the 14th minute, Scotland were down a man for an infringement by Blair Kinghorn in an attempted steal.

Argentina's reaction came to fruition 14 minutes into the second half, when captain Julián Montoya scored the first Pumas try which was converted by Carreras. Emboldened, Los Pumas attacked again and, just three minutes later, Rodrigo Isgró found a clear path to score another try.

Scotland responded in the 23rd minute with a penalty converted by Finn Russell from mid-range to make it 24-12 to the home team.

With 10 minutes remaining, Argentina got back into Scottish territory and, after a good maul - one of their favorite weapons - Pedro Rubiolo broke the defense to score under the posts and Carreras conversion cut the lead to 5 points.

The comeback was completed six minutes from the end when Pablo Matera scored a great try and Santiago Carreras added the conversion to put Los Pumas ahead for the first time.

With the game still open, the Argentine team took possession again and, two minutes from the end, Justo Piccardo scored a great individual try to seal the victory by 33 to 24, crowning a memorable comeback.
